Introducing Forba. Forba is austrian born and was imported when she was a 3 year old. Her sire is the world famous world champion Amadaus he needs no intorduction to most Haflinger people. Her dam is Flaga by Midas.

We stumbled on Forba when at the 07 I&C in Modesto Ca. Thank you Anne for letting us take her home with us. I have always dreamed of one day being able to owne an imported mare. For my first import to be an Amadaus daughter was by far a major plus!

When I first talked with Anne she funnily joked she had a Amadaus mare for sale. My heart skiped a beat and my mom was intrested. Usually I have to talk everyone into getting another horse this time it was hands down, she was coming to Hopeful Farms.

Forba is the first mare that we have completly purchesed just for Willard Whyte. She is his first offical girl! I look foward to seeing this amazing cross. The tention awaits for the 09 foal!

Forba was just hanging out at Anne's and hasn't been handled much. She is out of shape and needs some major spa work.

**April 08 Update** Well Forba has been doing great. For a while the trainer was long lining to teach her about the outside rein. Now she is doing fabulous! We can canter both directions and we can even canter a circle. Trust me that is a big achievement for Forba. Now that we know we can canter we have stopped to teach her about position. She is now learning that when we add the right leg we needs to move her hind quarter away from it not lean into it. I am extremely happy at to how fast she is learning and before you know it she will be a finished happy horse.

We bred Forba to Wynter once in April but she never took and due to horse shows, and the other horses we never found time to re breed them. We hope to breed them again next year for a 10 foal.

**Jan 09 Update** Well well well... Forba has a surprise for us. I started to notice that she was getting bigger and bigger. Last year when we bred her she had teased again so we assumed that she did not take and decided to just try again 'next' year. Low and behold she is pregnant! Silly mare had her own plans. For a while we were scrambling around wondering when she was due as she is just huge. So now we are very eagerly awaiting a Wynter foal!
