Oregon Gold 2007

On the morning of April 27nth 06 I walk into the barn to our pregnant mares stall, to find a health baby girl laying in the corner. We were so shocked as she wasn't due for another 3 weeks! Luckily she is health and is sporting a new name... Tanoka!! She is so cute and she is learning very quickly. This is a first for us and Toccata and we couldn't be more pleased. On June 11th we took Tanoka to her first horse show and she stole the crowd! She was great and even got a 6th place in the big other breeds class. Check gallery for more photos of her showing.

We did a spur of the moment thing and took her to the bits and spurs doubled judges zone show! Her first double judged show! She was a star and is obviously getting used to the show thing. Though she still needs a little more time in the ring as she does not know how to walk and prances around like crazy. What do you expect for her second show. She even found time to take two naps at the horse trailer. In the halter class there were about 11 or 14 horses in the class and she did very well. She even had a welsh pony who was absolutely in LOVE with her. He was such a flirt for an 8 year old gelding. She even got fed up with him a slammed both back hooves in his face! Luckily it was on our way out of the class and she cleared him with about a foot from his face. Tanoka got one 6th and the other judge gave her her first second place ribbon. Great job Tanoka!

On 12-17-06 Tanoka attended her 3rd show. Now being a weanling mommy didn't go with her. She was great and very grown up about it. She went with Mc but she wasn't anywhere in sight while Tanoka was in the arena. Her first class was the other breeds class. Tanoka went in there and did what she has been working on. We have been practicing for a month. Standing in class was very hard but she did it! She took her first BLUE in that class!!! Yay Tanoka! Even more impressive is her showmanship class. It was my debut in the 18 and over showmanship and her debut in showmanship. We were the first ones in. We trotted to the judge stopped and squared up then walk to the 2nd cone and back four steps and walked into line. It was VERY hard for her but she did FANTASTIC. She almost aced the pattern only a few steps out of line! As she was the first one in we had to wait for 6 other horses to do the pattern. She stood great and only wigged a little. She then took her second ever BLUE ribbon and it was in showmanship!! She even beat out a few seasoned show horses that Marquisse usually competes against. We are VERY proud of our little Tanoka.

**April 08 Update**Tanoka is growing up and is looking more and more like her father. She has been off just being a yearling for a while now and we have just started her back to work. Hopefully we can get her to a few shows this year. Check back as we plan on body clipping her and we will be post photos for you all to see!

We are sadly offering Tanoka for sale. Tanoka has been shown extensively for her young age and knows basic showmanship (trots off, walks, stops, squares up and pivots) At her first show without her mom she won her halter class and the 18 and over showmanship out of 7 horses! In May she was hauled to Redmond Oregon to the Oregon Gold Haflinger show, she won her 2 and under breed class, she got 3rd in the open 2 and under and she placed 4th in her first in hand trail class, this was also her first over night show. She is a great show horse and love the spotlight. She baths, crossties, ties, hauls, lunges and clips like a dream. She has been body clipped and had her head and neck clipped with she was only 3 months old. Tanoka isn’t afraid of anything she goes over tarps and water without hesitation. She has been ponied on thousands of miles of trails all over Washington. I have used her for bringing in my saddle and she could careless about the stirrups hitting her sides. She will be VERY easy to start.

Tanoka is very special and brings unique bloodlines to the northwest. Her sire was a Dutch import and 2 time national Champion he was also named SIP stallion of the year (2007). Her dam is out of a Wall street NTF son who was sired by the great Winterstein. Her granddame was also a Dutch import sired by the great Ad Van T Vlier. Her pedigree shines and after her show career she will be a great asset as a broodmare.

For sale only to show home! She will only sell to someone who will inspect her as a 4 year old.
